THE PRETZEL MAKER
TOTAL VIDEO TIME: 12 SECONDS
8 SHOTS · GOLDEN · TWISTED · STRAIGHT FROM BAVARIA
Legend icons: ACTION, HEAT, TIME HINT, INGREDIENT
Same Pixar-style middle-aged Bavarian male baker throughout — warm round face, thick blonde mustache, traditional lederhosen with suspenders, white shirt, small charming wooden pretzel stand, string lights overhead, wooden beer barrels nearby, warm daylight, charming German town square or beer garden visible behind him.
8 panels:
Panel 1 — THE OPENER: Wide shot. Baker stands behind his wooden pretzel stand, warm daylight flooding the scene, string lights hanging above, traditional German buildings softly visible behind him. He spreads his arms wide and says "Fresh Pretzel!" with a massive proud smile. His world established. You know exactly what's coming.
Panel 2 — THE ROPE: Close-up. Both hands rolling a length of soft pale dough into a long even rope on the wooden counter — rolling back and forth with practiced rhythm, the rope stretching longer and thinner with each pass.
Panel 3 — THE TWIST: Hero craft frame. Close-up dramatic. Both hands lifting the dough rope and crossing it into the iconic pretzel shape — looping the ends, twisting them together, folding them down onto the body to form the classic pretzel knot. The most unique hand motion in the entire series. Nobody has shown this in Pixar style.
Panel 4 — THE BATH: Close-up. The shaped pretzel dipped into a pot of bubbling baking soda water — briefly submerged, lifted back out glistening and slightly darkened, ready for the oven. The step that gives pretzels their signature deep color and chew.
Panel 5 — THE SALT: Close-up dramatic. Coarse white salt crystals scattered generously over the wet pretzel surface — sticking instantly, catching the daylight, vivid white against the pale dough.
Panel 6 — THE OVEN: Wide medium with him visible. Baker slides the tray of pretzels into the glowing oven, closes the door. Steps back with a satisfied nod. The wait begins.
Panel 7 — THE REVEAL: The hero frame. Oven door opens — pretzels emerging deep golden brown, glossy, perfectly twisted, steam rising. He lifts the tray with both hands, eyes lighting up with pride. The most beautiful pretzels you have ever seen.
Panel 8 — THE TEAR: Wide warm shot. Baker tears a warm pretzel apart with both hands — soft warm interior revealed, steam escaping, salt crystals visible on the golden crust. Eyes closing in pure satisfaction. String lights and the warm Bavarian square glowing behind him.
